Discipleship: Disciples make disciples
Through reading and taking the bible seriously, we want people to be motivated to live authentic and responsible Christian lives. We are convinced that biblical orientation and guidance allows us to grow in our faith and develop into being more like Jesus in character. This includes automatically that one disciple makes another disciples, so that healthy church growth establishes. (Matthew 28: 19-20; 2 Timothy 2: 2)
Intercultural fellowship: Worship and life established on encouraging relationships.
Frankfurt is a large city shaped by diversity, where 180 nationalities and backgrounds are intertwined and meet. We want to plant a church that reflects this diversity. We live in intercultural and intersocial unity that is possible through the gospel. (Ephesians 2. 13; Matthew 28: 18-20). This fellowship is encouraging, pastoral and inspiring. We invest into relationships in order to develop friendships. God created humans for relationships. (Hebrews 10: 24-25; Galatians 6: 2)
Gospel driven: Worship and life driven by the gospel.
The gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ and therefore the essence of Christian faith. Through the gospel people are saved, redeemed and changed positively. The gospel protects us from legalism as well as from arbitrary life. We worship the God who revealed himself in Jesus Christ. (John 3, 16; 2 Corinthians 2. 17-19)
Bible based: Worship and life based on the Word of God.
We believe that the bible is God’s true word and therefore is the foundation of our church. We place a lot of importance and worth on bible based as well as preaching -and gospel centered worship services and house churches. We believe that power lies in the word of God when it is preached: it leads people to faith. (Bible: 2 Timotheus 3. 16-17; Romans 10, 17)
Evangelism: Bringing the gospel to our neighborhood.
Faith is not our private thing but a gift of grace that Jesus wants us to share with our community authentically. We are striving to be church with people who share faith whether in words or deeds so that people in our community got inspired and curious to find out more about the God we believe in. Bringing the gospel to our city also means to contribute to our cities best. We help out by finding the areas that have particular needs or hardships. (Jeremiah 29: 7; Matthew 28, 19-20)
